A large pavilion will be organised around those subjects arousing a great deal of interest. Different exhibitors will be able to display their products and present their information. So that the visitor will know for sure that he/she has not missed out on any of the information that they are looking for.
If you as an exhibitor would like to take the initiative with colleagues to start a new theme pavilion, then you should contact the Fair's organisers.
Coloured Pavilions.
The pavilions are generally in contrasting colours to let them stand out more: collective pavilion rambling in green, cycling in red, pilgrims' pavilion in terra cotta, cycling with children in yellow and so forth.
Publicity.
A theme pavilion is very suitable for generating extra publicity in the media. The themed pavilions will receive special attention in the Fair guide which is distributed to the public. The Fair's organisers will decide if a participant is eligible for participation in a specific theme pavilion.
Pavilion Eco-tourism and Agri-tourism
Treating the environment responsibly, respect for the local scenery and local culture go hand in hand with the concept of the "Fiets en Wandelbeurs". Cycling and walking are two ways of locomotion that harmonize well with a small-scale environment with a character of its own, special natural elements and a vulnerable countryside. While large-scale mass-tourism can change the original scenery and the original culture irreversibly, walking and cycling are activities that can even contribute to its preservation. Cyclists and walkers use the already present small-scale infrastructure and are a source of income for the local population. An attractive landscape and a special scenery can thus generate income, causing its preservation to become a factor of economic importance as well.
The "Fiets en Wandelbeurs" supports developments that can contribute to a more sustainable form of tourism. Opening up the countryside, laying country roads, promoting small-scale and sustainable tourism in areas of natural beauty, involving local farmers in the maintenance and management of these areas... these are all concepts that comply with this pursuit of more sustainable tourism.
In the Eco-tourism and Agri-tourism pavilion (in Dutch 'Duurzaam en Agrarisch Toerisme; is DAT-pavilion) visitors can be introduced to organizations, companies and (semi-)government institutions that are active in this field. If you as an exhibitor in interested to participate in this pavilion, please contact the fair organizers. They will be happy to inform you about the conditions. back to top

Pavilion Cycling with Children (Fietsen met Kinderen)
All companies or institutions offering a product or service relevant to this pavilion can apply for participation.
The intention we have with the Pavilion Cycling with Children is:
that all visitors interested in ‘Cycling with Children’ will visit this pavilion; and
that they will find the information that they are looking for.
The Pavilion Cycling with Children is build as an open structure. Visitors can walk freely through the pavilion. The various participants are not separated by walls. However, there will be a few walls to attach products, illustrations and promotional material.
Participants are not bound to the minimum of 6 m2. Less is also possible; even 1 or 2 m2. We only require that the hired space is enough for the presentation of your product or service and that there is room enough for the interested visitor. It is thus not allowed to cover your space completely so that visitors will have to use your neighbors space to look at your products. The organizer will be the final judge of this.
You can of course also participate in this pavilion in addition to your ‘normal’ stand, situated elsewhere in the exhibition, and refer interested visitors to that stand. The company names of participants will be mentioned in a separate list both on the website of the Fiets en Wandelbeurs for visitors and in the brochure that visitors will get during the event.
The name of the pavilion, Paviljoen Fietsen met Kinderen will also be mentioned prominently.
On the pavilion itself only the name Fietsen met Kinderen will be mentioned, but participants are free to display their own names as well.
There is no additional charge for participating in this pavilion. The costs for building the stand is at most equal to the tariff for building a standard stand plus the costs for specific requirements (for example an extra electricity or a table).
In addition to companies also parents, experienced in cycling with children, will be present to tell visitors the ins and outs of a cycling holiday with children. back to top

Pavilion Electric Bicycles
The number of electric bicycles is growing enormously. Until recently only elderly people bought an electric bicycle, but this is changing very rapidly. The organizers of the "Fiets en Wandelbeurs" welcome this development.
On the one hand an electric bicycle does not give cyclists the satisfaction of a sports achievement nor that of reaching a goal under one's own steam. On the other hand electric bicycles offer assistance in pushing the pedals and thus can help a lot of people, who other wise would not start to think of cycling, over the threshold. And these are not solely elderly people. Thanks to the electric bicycle a cycling holiday is within reach of more people, more people will go to their work by bicycle which makes a difference in the number of car rides, more parents will go on a cycling holiday since the uphill stages are no longer walking stages with a child in a trailer, and people will be less inclined to take the car for the somewhat larger distances. The electric bicycle means more cycle kilometers and less car kilometers. Which is of course a very positive development.
The "Fiets en Wandelbeurs" will devote much attention to electric bicycles. There will be a spacious cycling track to try them out, provided with ample charging points. In press releases and other publications we will give them due attention. back to top
