Every year the Cycling and Rambling Fair presents a special theme country. This will have wonderful scope for cycling and rambling, but may not yet be well known for this. But being an unknown quantity actually adds another dimension to the cycling and rambling holiday.
Theme or guest country at the Cycling and Rambling Fair is a complete package comprising a comprehensive presentation on both days, and a comprehensive publicity and promotion package in the run-up to the two days of the Fair.
The presentation comprises:
A plaza that recreates the ambience of the country with a large Café terrace. The space for this is courtesy of the Fair’s organisers.
All of the stands that provide information about the theme country surround the plaza, so visitors can get a complete information package
Regional specialities from the country in question are served on the terrace
Musicians from the theme country will entertain visitors with authentic music and song
Information market with cyclists and ramblers who know the country well. It is this first hand knowledge of the travellers that adds important value to the information
Exhibition space where photographers can present striking images of the theme country
Papers on the theme country included in the programme of papers givens
The publicity and promotion comprises:
Displaying the country’s logo and its ‘Theme country’ status in the advertisements and other publicity for the Fair. Total print run of more than a million.
Special page on the Fair’s website with extensive information on the presentation at the Fair, but also about the theme country itself and with links to relevant websites.
Comprehensive announcement in the Fair guide handed out to all visitors
Editorial coverage by our media partner in the Dutch daily paper ‘Trouw’ in their special Cycling and Rambling supplement, in consultation with editorial staff
Maximum effort by the Fair’s organisers to generate as much free publicity as possible in the media
Special attention in the Fair’s Press releases
